Firefox v17.0 Released
Yesterday Mozilla released its latest stable version of its rapid-released flagship, the Firefox browser. This is version 17 of the Gecko-based software and this release fixes 2,635 bugs. It also adds some new features to their software… the initial revision of their new “Social API” (which provides direct integration between browser and social media sites), a new “click-to-play” interface that can prevent vulnerable versions of plugins from running and an update “Awesome Bar” that uses bigger icons.
As always, I agree with Mozilla’s insistence that everyone upgrade to this new version. That won’t be possible for Macs still running OSX “Leopard”, as Mozilla has dropped support for this older version of Apple’s operating system.
